Whenever we tell people about SwingDesire, whether it’s at a club, at a social or in one of the lifestyle groups we’re part of, the same questions come up. Who’s actually behind it? Is it just another swingers site? Why do I have to verify? Is it worth joining?

They’re fair questions, so here are our honest answers. No sales pitch, just what we’d tell you if you asked us at the bar.

Are You Trying to Replace the Other Swingers Sites?

No. There are plenty of good people on the other sites, and there’s room for more than one place to meet. SwingDesire is our own vision of what a lifestyle community should feel like, and if it suits you, great. If you want to keep your other profiles too, that’s completely fine.

Who’s Actually Behind SwingDesire?

Us. Sean and Sophie. We’re a real couple, we built SwingDesire ourselves, and we’re the ones running it every day.

We haven’t just had an idea for a website. We’re living the lifestyle. Right now we’re out every weekend, all over the UK. We’ve been to 15 clubs and counting, and some weekends we’ll fit in a social on the Friday too. We’re part of around 25 lifestyle groups, and by now plenty of people on the scene recognise us.

And here’s something that surprises people: we very rarely play. Since we entered the lifestyle on New Year’s Eve 2024, we can count our experiences on one hand. We go out because we love the atmosphere, the people and the friendships. That’s what the lifestyle is really about for a lot of couples, and it’s a big part of why we built SwingDesire the way we did.

Being out every weekend means we meet all sorts of people across the UK, and we hear what they want from a site and what drives them mad. Then we go home and build it. That’s our strongest point: we’re not guessing what the community wants. We’re part of it.

Why Do I Have to Verify?

Because we’ve seen what happens when a site doesn’t.

When we first joined other sites, Sophie was getting unsolicited explicit photos from men within minutes. Not a few. Loads. Then there were the “couples”: profiles that messaged us, asked for Sophie to chat, and somehow the wife never appeared. The chat would go cold, and the next one would follow exactly the same pattern, with the same layout and the same lines. After a while you learn to spot the fakes from their photos and their opening messages. That shouldn’t be part of anyone’s experience.

So every approved SwingDesire member completes ID and facial verification, and on couple profiles, both partners verify individually.

We won’t pretend that makes fakes impossible. A single man could persuade a female friend to verify with him, and we’d be lying if we said nothing could ever slip through. But verification raises the bar a long way, and it’s backed up by our members: anyone can report a profile, and three reports trigger an automatic suspension while we review it ourselves.

How Private Is It?

Privacy and safety are our top priorities. Your privacy matters, and we give you control over who can see and contact you. Nothing is visible unless you’re logged in and verified, we never sell or share your information for marketing, and we never talk about members outside the site.

On top of that, you’re in control of who sees you and who can reach you:

• Choose who can message you, including verified members only, and filter by age range.
• Keep your photos private with three levels: public, friends and close friends.
• Block whole profile types from your profile, messages, winks, feed and photos, if they’re not what you’re looking for.
• Hide your profile, browse privately and hide your friends list.
• Who’s Near only ever shows an approximate area, never your exact location.

Remember the unsolicited photos Sophie used to get on other sites? Those settings are the direct answer to that. We built the controls we wished we’d had.

We’ve worked hard to make SwingDesire simple to use, from signing up and verifying your identity to connecting with members and discovering events. Sign-up, verification included, takes about five or six minutes.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Safety isn’t a policy page for us. Sophie understands the risks better than most, and it’s why we built a proper support system. If anything worries you, you can contact us directly, and women can reach out to a woman on our team. Every safety concern goes straight to the top of our list and is reviewed by one of us personally. You can see everything we do in our Safety Centre.

Why Can’t Everyone Join Straight Away?

Because balance matters. Anyone who’s been to a lifestyle night knows the atmosphere depends on the mix of people, and an online community is no different. So we manage membership across profile types, which sometimes means a short wait for some types of profile. It isn’t about shutting anyone out. It’s about keeping SwingDesire somewhere everyone actually enjoys being.

Can I Join Just to Socialise?

Absolutely. As we said, we very rarely play ourselves. Plenty of our members are here for friendships, nights out and finding events, and that’s exactly what SwingDesire is built for. You’ll find members, groups, clubs and events all in one place.

What Will You Never Do?

A few things we’ve decided and won’t change:

• No paid adverts or promoted profiles.
• Event hosts and clubs will never be charged to promote their events with us. Why would we charge the people who bring our community together? You can read more in our post on free event promotion for organisers.
• Our directory of lifestyle businesses is free to list in, too. The one featured listing in it is Lovedo, our own adult shop, and SwingDesire members get a discount there. We’d rather tell you that up front.
• We’ll never sell or share your information for marketing. Your privacy isn’t for sale.

We’re here for each other. That’s the whole point.
