Some nights are good, some are brilliant, and then every now and again you get one you’re still talking about days later.
For us, the FriskyDisko Ibiza Hedonism Closing Party at The Mirage Lincoln was one of those nights.
We’d been invited along by Connor, the owner, and we’d heard plenty about this award-winning club beforehand, so expectations were already pretty high. But from the minute we arrived, we could see why people travel from all over to come here.
This wasn’t just another club night with an Ibiza theme thrown on it. Connor and the Mirage team had properly gone for it.
Our first impressions of The Mirage
One of the first things we noticed was how private the whole place feels.
The Mirage is tucked away at Caenby Corner near Market Rasen, just north of Lincoln. There’s no walking down a busy high street wondering who you’re going to bump into. You arrive, park on site and you’re there. That privacy makes a massive difference, especially if you’re newer to the lifestyle or just don’t fancy walking through the middle of town dressed for a club night.
Once inside, the other thing that immediately stood out was how clean and well looked after everything was.
The venue just works. You’ve got the gold-lit cocktail bar and social areas, somewhere to dance and chat, the orangery, king-size hot tub suites and the more private areas if you want them. Nothing feels awkwardly squeezed in, and you’re never wandering around wondering where you’re supposed to be.
It feels like somebody has actually thought about how people use the venue.
Then came Ibiza Hedonism
This is where the night went to another level.
Hedonism is The Mirage’s take on the ultimate Ibiza experience, and the closing party was the send-off the summer deserved. Connor had brought in a full marquee and transformed it into something that genuinely felt more like an Ibiza party than a normal club night..
The lasers were incredible. Red and blue beams fanned right across the ceiling, with draped fabric, hanging decorations and a proper lighting rig over the DJ booth. The whole production completely changed the atmosphere.
And people responded to it. The dance floor was absolutely buzzing, from start to finish.
That’s probably the biggest compliment we can give the night: it didn’t feel like somebody had simply put a few decorations up and called it an Ibiza theme. It felt like an event.
You could see how much work had gone into it, and that’s something we really respect. When somebody puts that much effort into creating a night for everyone else to enjoy, you notice it.
The crowd made it
You can have the best venue and production in the world, but if the crowd isn’t right, the night won’t be right either.
Thankfully, the crowd at The Mirage was brilliant. We met loads of people throughout the night, some we’d spoken to before and plenty of completely new faces. Everyone was friendly, relaxed and just there to have a bloody good night.
People had made a real effort as well. Ibiza white, glitter, lights and some amazing outfits made the whole place look the part.
For anyone who’s nervous about going to a club for the first time, this side of it really matters. You don’t walk through the door and suddenly have expectations put on you. You can have a drink, dance, meet people and enjoy the night exactly how you want to.
That’s how it should be.
Would we recommend The Mirage to someone new?
Absolutely.
We know walking into your first lifestyle club can be daunting. We’ve been there ourselves. But somewhere that’s clean, welcoming, well run and full of people who are actually happy to talk to you makes a massive difference.
Nobody has to do anything. If you want to spend the entire night at the bar chatting and dancing, you can. If you want to explore more, that’s entirely up to you.

- Membership: The Mirage is a private members’ club, so you’ll need to apply and be approved before attending. Big nights like Ibiza Hedonism are members only.
- Tickets: Entry is pre-booked through The Mirage’s website. Some of the bigger nights get extremely busy, so sort tickets early rather than leaving it to the last minute.
- Age and ID: Events are 21+, so bring ID.
- Singles: Single memberships are available, and single men may need to pre-book to keep numbers balanced.
- Dress code: This varies by event, so check the listing. If it’s a themed night, make the effort. After seeing what people wore for Ibiza Hedonism, you’ll be glad you did.
- Getting there: A631, Caenby Corner, Market Rasen, LN8 2AT, around 20 minutes north of Lincoln, with free parking on site.
- Where to stay: There are a few hotels nearby and plenty of Airbnbs in the area. Book early for the big events, as local rooms go quickly.
- House rules: As with any good lifestyle venue, consent and respecting other people’s boundaries come first. The club also has a zero-tolerance approach to drugs.

Our verdict
We came away from The Mirage genuinely impressed.
Of all the clubs we’ve visited since coming into the lifestyle, this was easily one of the best nights we’ve had, and for us The Mirage is up there with the best swingers clubs in the UK.
The venue is excellent, but what really stood out was everything around it: the effort Connor and his team had put in, the production, the music, the crowd and the atmosphere they managed to create. Everyone was there for the same reason, to switch off, have fun and enjoy themselves.
That’s exactly what a lifestyle event should be.
