Swingers Events UK: A Guide to Parties and Socials

If you’re looking for swingers events in the UK, there has never been more choice. From relaxed socials in a bar to big themed parties with hundreds of guests, there’s something on somewhere almost every weekend.

We’re Sean and Sophie, the couple behind SwingDesire, and events are a huge part of our lifestyle. Over the past couple of years we’ve been to parties, socials and club nights across the UK, met some fantastic people and even run our own events. This guide covers the types of events out there, some of the organisers we’ve come across, and how to find swingers events and parties near you. If you just want to see what’s on, our swingers events page lists our upcoming parties.

Types of Swingers Events in the UK

“Swingers event” covers a lot. These are the main types you’ll come across:

  • Socials. Relaxed meet-ups in a bar, pub or venue. People dress up, have a drink and chat, and nobody is expected to play. Perfect if you’re new.
  • Club nights. Regular nights at swingers clubs, often with a theme, a dress code or a set mix of couples and singles.
  • Themed parties. Halloween, New Year’s Eve, masquerade, neon, white parties and more. These are often the busiest and most fun nights of the year.
  • Women only events. Nights run just for women, which can be a brilliant, relaxed way in for single women and bi-curious women.
  • Singles events. Events aimed at single men and women as well as couples.
  • Large events and party series. Bigger productions with entertainment, shows and hundreds of guests, run by established organisers.
  • House parties. Private parties in someone’s home. They can be a gentle start if the hosts are people you know and trust.

Swingers Socials UK: Meet People in a Relaxed Setting

Swingers socials are one of the best ways to meet like-minded people in the lifestyle without the pressure of a club or a play party. They’re usually held in bars, pubs, hotels or private venues, where couples and singles can have a drink, chat and make friends.

At most socials there’s nowhere to play at all. People dress up, mingle and get to know each other, and some arrange to meet again another time. Many go simply for the company, and plenty of lasting friendships in the lifestyle start this way.

Socials can be anything from a small group in a pub to a big night out. The Ipswich social we went to had a crowd of around 200 people, and a London social we went to was a brilliant night too. For us, socials are where the lifestyle is at its best.

A few things to know before your first social:

  • Dress smart. Think a nice night out rather than club wear, unless the social has a theme.
  • Nobody expects anything. You’re there to meet people. A conversation is the whole point.
  • Introduce yourselves to the hosts. They’ll often introduce you to others, which makes a first social much easier.
  • Check the guest mix. Some socials are couples only, while others welcome singles too.

Whether you’re completely new to swinging or have been in the lifestyle for years, socials are a great way to feel part of the UK swingers community. Not sure whether a social or a club is right for you? Read our guide to swinger socials vs swingers clubs.

Swingers Events We’ve Been To

We go to a lot of events, and honestly, the ones we’ve been to have all been very well organised. A few highlights:

  • Secret House events. Really good nights, and ones we’d happily go back to.
  • Tequila Rose parties. Great events, and they run a lot of women only nights too.
  • Ipswich social with a crowd of around 200 people. Proof of just how big socials can get.
  • London social, which was a really good night.
  • The Ibiza Hedonism themed closing party at The Mirage in Lincolnshire, which you can read about in our Club Spotlight on The Mirage.
  • Dulci’s birthday at SD Lounge in Portsmouth. Read our SD Lounge review.
  • Club Curious in Barwell, Leicestershire. Here’s our Club Curious review.

We also ran our own SwingDesire End of Summer Party at Club DV8. Around 100 people filled the venue, and with a live domme show, prizes and a fantastic crowd, it was a great night. It also showed us first hand just how much work goes into every event you go to.

UK Swingers Event Organisers

There are plenty of event organisers bringing people together across the UK lifestyle scene. Here are some names you may come across when looking for parties, socials and club nights:

  • Secret House
  • Tequila Rose
  • Purple Events
  • Vespa Events
  • Joker Events
  • Frisky Disco
  • Naughty Norfolk
  • Sexy Singles
  • Hotwife Soirée
  • What Women Want
  • Swinger Pride
  • Party Players

And there are loads more. Every organiser has their own style, crowd and atmosphere, so it’s worth trying a few to find the ones that suit you.

How to Find Swingers Events Near You

  1. Use a lifestyle site with an events section. It’s the easiest way to see what’s on across the UK in one place.
  2. Follow organisers you like. Most announce new dates on their own websites and socials, and the best nights sell out fast.
  3. Check your local clubs. Clubs post their themed nights and parties well in advance.
  4. Join lifestyle groups. Telegram and other community groups are full of event news and recommendations.
  5. Talk to people at events. Honestly, this is how we’ve found many of our favourite nights. People are always happy to share where they’re going next.

Swingers Parties: What to Expect

Every event is different, but a few things are worth knowing before you book.

  • Buy tickets early. Popular parties and themed nights often sell out, especially around Halloween, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
  • Prices vary. A social might cost very little, while a large production with entertainment costs more. Check what’s included.
  • Check the dress code. Many events have a theme or a dress code, and dressing up is half the fun.
  • Check the guest mix. Some events are couples only, some welcome singles, and many limit numbers of single men.
  • Some events have age ranges or a selective guest list. A few also vet guests on their photos. It’s not something we’re keen on ourselves, but it’s worth knowing so you’re not caught out.
  • Nobody has to do anything. At a good event, you can chat, dance and enjoy the night without any pressure at all.

Tips for Your First Swingers Event

  • Start with a social if you’re nervous. It’s the gentlest way to meet people.
  • Agree your boundaries as a couple before you go. Our guide to setting boundaries helps here.
  • Know the etiquette. Ask before touching and accept a no gracefully. See our swinger etiquette guide.
  • Introduce yourselves. Organisers and regulars are usually very welcoming to new faces.
  • Plan your journey home so nobody has to worry about driving.

Prices vary a lot. A social can cost very little, while large themed parties with entertainment cost more. Always check what’s included before you book.

Many events welcome singles, and some are aimed at singles specifically. Others are couples only or limit numbers of single men, so check each event before you book.

Are there women only swingers events?

Yes. Some organisers, such as Tequila Rose, run women only events. They can be a relaxed way in for single women and bi-curious women.

Do I have to do anything at a swingers event?
