If you’re looking for swingers in Birmingham, you’re in one of the best areas in the country for it. The West Midlands has some of the longest running clubs in the UK, exciting newer venues, and a busy events calendar all year round.
We’re Sean and Soph, the couple behind SwingDesire. We’ve been out on the Midlands scene ourselves, so this isn’t a list copied from somewhere else. It’s what we’ve actually seen, what we liked, and what we’d tell friends planning their first night out in Birmingham.
We’ll keep this guide updated as we visit more venues and new events land, so it’s worth bookmarking.

The Birmingham swinging scene
Most Birmingham swingers clubs aren’t in the city centre itself. They sit just outside it, in places like West Bromwich and Walsall, which works in your favour. Parking is easier, the venues are bigger, and most are within half an hour of the centre.
What makes the area special is the mix. Iconic clubs that have been running for decades sit alongside newer venues designed from scratch with today’s couples in mind. Whether you want a big party night, a relaxed social or something more intimate, there’s a club in the West Midlands that fits.
Birmingham is also central to everywhere. Couples regularly travel in from Coventry, Wolverhampton, Leicester and Nottingham, so the crowd on a good night is bigger and more varied than you might expect.
Swingers clubs in and around Birmingham
These are the clubs we’d point swingers in Birmingham towards. This isn’t a ranking. Every club has its own feel, and the right one depends on what you’re after. If you’re not sure where to start, our guide to choosing a swingers club will help.
PDI Lifestyle, Birmingham
PDI is one of the newer clubs on the Birmingham scene, and honestly, it’s amazing. You can tell from the moment you walk in that so much thought has gone into it.
Inside, it’s very clean and modern. Downstairs has great social areas where you can grab a drink and get chatting, then upstairs it opens up into a completely different world. There are loads of themed rooms, including a limo, a taxi and an ambulance, and the list goes on. The owners are lovely people, and that comes through in how welcoming the whole place feels.
If you want a club night that feels a cut above, PDI belongs on your list. We’ll be there for their Halloween party, so look out for our full Club Spotlight review afterwards.
Xtasia, West Bromwich
Xtasia is one of the best known names in UK swinging. It has been running since the 1980s and is one of the Midlands’ biggest swingers and fetish clubs, with both swinger and fetish nights through the week.
It has grown into far more than a club. Alongside the main venue there’s a nightclub, spa and cinema, plus its own small adults only hotel, so it’s easy to turn a night out into a weekend away. It’s about 15 minutes from Birmingham city centre on the Metro.
We haven’t made it to Xtasia ourselves yet, but it’s high on our list, so watch this space for our own review.
Chameleons, Walsall
Chameleons is a well known club just outside Birmingham in Walsall, and we’ve been ourselves. The big thing to know is that it’s a dress down club: you get changed as soon as you arrive.
We’ll be honest, we weren’t keen on that idea before we went. In practice it worked better than we expected. It takes away the awkward getting started stage, everyone is on the same level from the moment they walk in, and we had a good night.
It’s a great option if you like a relaxed, no fuss club. Just know about it in advance so it doesn’t catch you off guard.

Worth the drive: more Midlands clubs
Birmingham’s central location puts some brilliant venues within easy reach.
Club Curious, Barwell, Leicestershire. Under an hour from Birmingham and known for its themed party nights. We’ve been, and it’s a fantastic night out with a warm crowd and real effort put into every event. Read our full Club Curious review.
The Mirage, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire. A longer trip, but one we make regularly (here’s our Club Spotlight on The Mirage). It’s also where we’re hosting our own SwingDesire events, Unleashed on 10 April 2027 and Euphoria on 31 July 2027. Tickets are on our Events page.
If you’re happy to travel, mixing in a different club now and then is one of the best ways to meet new couples beyond your usual circle.
What’s on around Birmingham
There’s something on most weekends across the West Midlands, and plenty midweek too. The main types of night you’ll find are:
- Couples nights. Couples only, often the most relaxed choice for a first visit.
- Mixed nights. Couples and singles together, usually with limits on single numbers.
- Themed parties. Halloween, New Year’s Eve, masquerade, white parties and more. Dressing up is half the fun.
- Socials and meet and greets. Drinks and chat with no pressure, ideal for meeting people before a club night. See socials vs clubs to decide which suits you.
- Special events. One-off parties run by clubs and lifestyle brands, often with a bigger crowd and a proper production.
Rather than listing dates here that would be out of date next month, we keep everything on the SwingDesire Events page, updated as new nights are announced. Halloween at PDI is in our diary, and we’d love to say hello if you’re going.
Your first night at a Birmingham swingers club
Every club runs things a little differently, but a few things are true almost everywhere. For the full picture, read what to expect on your first time at a swingers club.
- Check the night before you book. Many clubs run couples only nights, mixed nights and themed parties. Pick one that suits you and check the dress code. Remember that some clubs, like Chameleons, are dress down from the moment you arrive.
- Bring photo ID. Clubs check ID on the door, and most ask first timers to take out a membership.
- Talk as a couple first. Agree your boundaries before you leave the house, plus a signal for when either of you wants to go. You’re there to have fun together.
- Take a tour. Most clubs will show you around when you arrive. It settles the nerves and helps you get your bearings.
- Start at the bar. Nobody expects you to do anything. Plenty of couples spend their first night chatting, watching and soaking up the atmosphere.
- No means no. A polite no is respected everywhere, and you should give the same respect back. Our swinger etiquette guide covers the rest.
- Plan your night home. Book a hotel nearby or a taxi, so nobody’s worrying about driving.
Travelling in and staying over
Birmingham sits right in the middle of the motorway network, with the M5, M6 and M42 all close by. That makes it one of the easiest places in the country for a night out, whether you’re coming from Coventry, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Nottingham or further.
If you’re travelling, make a weekend of it. Xtasia has its own adults only hotel, and there are plenty of chain hotels around West Bromwich, Walsall and the city centre. Book somewhere a short walk or taxi from the club, so you can both relax and nobody has to drive home.
A few practical tips: check whether the club has parking before you set off, book your taxi home early on busy nights like Halloween and New Year’s Eve, and pack your outfit separately so getting ready at the hotel is easy.
How to meet swingers in Birmingham safely
Clubs are a great place to start, but most couples also want to get to know people before a night out. That’s where the right site makes all the difference, along with a few habits for meeting people safely.
For a long time, much of the Midlands scene has found each other through FabSwingers, and plenty of people still use it. SwingDesire gives you another option, built around verification from day one. Members must complete ID, age and liveness verification for full access, so you can chat and arrange meets with greater confidence that the people you’re talking to are genuine.
A few tips that work wherever you meet people:
- Chat before you meet. A few messages and a quick video call tell you a lot.
- Meet somewhere public first. A drink in a bar, or at a club social night, takes the pressure off.
- Look for verified profiles. Verified profiles give you an extra layer of confidence before arranging a meet. Here’s how to spot fake profiles.
- Keep your privacy. Use the privacy settings on your profile, and never share your home address early on.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, it usually is.
How SwingDesire helps you meet people around Birmingham
SwingDesire is a UK lifestyle community built and run by a couple who are actually in the lifestyle. To access the platform fully, members must complete ID, age and liveness verification. No long questionnaires, no confusing tiers. Join free, verify, explore.
Here’s what that means if you’re in Birmingham or the West Midlands:
- Who’s Near. See verified couples and singles around Birmingham, without ever sharing your exact location.
- Clubs and events. Browse club pages for venues across the Midlands, and see what’s coming up on our Events page.
- Private groups. Chat with people who share your interests before you ever meet.
- Winks and messages. Get to know people at your own pace.
- Verified members. Full access requires ID, age and liveness verification.
- Private by design. Profiles, photos and activity stay behind the member login and never appear in public search results.
Signing up takes about five minutes. You’ll need photo ID and a quick selfie check, and then you’re in. We deliberately make verification compulsory, even though it means some registrations never become approved members. We’d rather build the community with genuine people than make the numbers look impressive.
It’s free to join, with no credit card needed. New members currently get two months of full membership free, and our first 1,500 members get 50% off Premium for life. Paid memberships are one-off payments that never renew automatically, so there are no surprise charges. See membership details.
We’re not writing about Birmingham from a distance. We go to these clubs, we review them honestly, and we run our own events. When you join SwingDesire, you’re joining a community built by people who live it. Read why we built SwingDesire differently.
